Construction is ongoing throughout the summer on 213 Street (main street) in Bellevue. WE are still open and we understand it is frustrating, but contact us and we will help guide you through the detour.
The Bellevue Underground Mine is a unique and historically designated underground coal mine located in the Crowsnest Pass. We provide visitors with an authentic experience of what it was like to be a coal miner, while on an exciting hour-long tour underground guided by Heritage Interpreters.
Walk in the miners' footsteps
The guided underground tour will take you 1,000 feet into the mine, where you will be 150 feet below the surface. Explore the mine's inner-workings while you learn about the rich history of one of Canada's underground coal mines.
Wander around our location and take a look at some of the historic underground mine machinery we have on site.

When you are done outside come inside our main building and see some of the artifacts we currently have on display.

Equipped with a miner’s helmet and lamp head underground with one of our Heritage Interpreters.

The guided tour will last roughly 1 hour. Travel back in time to explore the rich underground mining history of the Crowsnest Pass.
