The Bellevue Underground Mine tour will take you 1,000 feet into the mine, where you will be 150 feet below the surface. Explore the mine's inner-workings while you learn about the rich history of one of Canada's underground coal mines.

 

Each participant in the tour will be equipped with a miner’s helmet and lamp while being guided by a Heritage Interpreter. The tour will last roughly 1 hour. Our experienced Heritage Interpreters will bring you back in time to explore the rich underground mining history of the Crowsnest Pass.

TOUR SCHEDULE INFORMATION:

Throughout the months of July and August from Friday to Monday we will be providing tours every half an hour. From Tuesday to Thursday tours will  be provided every hour. The first tour of the day begins at 10:00 am with the final tour of the day at 4:00 pm.

Groups of eight or more will need to pre-book tours.  We cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate large groups as walk-ins.

Is it cold in the mine?  Yes!! it stays around zero degrees.  dress warm.

The access road is located on Bellevue Main Street next to Ophelia's Outpost (formally the Old Diary Shoppe) parking lot.
