Modified Supply Car

Supply cars were used to transport tools and other equipment in and out of the mine. A water tank has been added to this electric supply car, providing a water source to spray down the coal dust in the tunnels. It was powered by batteries that were enclosed in compartments to prevent electrical sparks. There was a charger next to it in case the batteries ran out of charge.  Notice the seats?  They are placed in such a manner that the driver could drive in both directions.
