Trip Hammer

Steam was used to create the power required to operate this piece of equipment.  It was used primarily to flatten and shape metal tools, but the miners found it useful for cracking their boiled eggs.  It could also be used to bend rails for inside the mine.  Obviously, the pressure could be adjusted to a fine degree.
